Bass Eating Bass Video

This is an amazing video captured by a fisherman that shows how aggressive a bass can actually be. I have seen this many times before with predatory fish.

This past year (2012) I caught the largest smallmouth yet, due to this very instance. I had caught a small spotted bass of about 9 inches on a size 8 inchworm pattern and as I was quickly stripping the smaller fish back to me to release it…the large smallie of 19 inches slammed the smaller fish and continued to bulrush the small fish until finally it was able to take the smaller fish head on. It was at this point that I watched as the larger smallie swam back towards his hole and I could see the green inchworm pattern sticking out of the corner of its mouth…I waited and then gave it a huge strip set; the action jerked the hook from the smaller fish and hooked the larger fish! You can read this story in full in my section under Enjoy the Great Outdoors…it is simply entitled; The Catch. So I hope you enjoy this amazing bass eating bass video and keep this in mind while fishing this spring…a largemouth bass is one very aggressive fish!
