In today’s video adventure we are once again back on the water … but this time we are wild ricing with my good friend, Connie. If you watched our video last year you will remember that we are in search of Manoomin (wild rice) in the native Ojibwa tongue.
The water and rice were perfect and we were able to spend almost two hours pushing and paddling our way through the rice fields and in the end we harvested a bag and a half of wild rice that we will add to our future outings and then have taken to the processor for finishing into the edible product.
What a treat to be able to go out and spend a few hours in search of such a healthy food source and to do it with a good friend. I hope you enjoy the video and if you have any questions you can leave those in the comment section below or by emailing me at flyfishingwithjeff@gmail.com. I will do my best to get back to you with a good response.
