Our 2024 Norway Adventure

Hey folks and welcome back to another video with FlyFishingWithJeff.com. Today’s video is not a fly fishing video … but a short documentary of my wife Vickie and I on a 6 day cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes up and along the fjords of Norway.
Clouds wrapped around a fjord
The ship ran by Havila was brand new and extremely comfortable and very efficient. Being all electric it was amazingly quiet and handled the rough seas of the Norwegian Sea very well.

This ship is a postal ship for the country of Norway, stopping in at 34 ports on its round trip journey north and then again back to the south. We were in a large port each day where excursions were available …. Vickie and I chose to go ashore to shop and see the sights of the various cities.

Along the route you cross over the arctic circle at 66′ north latitude and that was an experience I won’t soon forget. We had a balcony that opened up to the port side of the ship and this made all the difference as we could sit on our balcony and watch the mountains, fishing boats and an asundry of other memories along the way.

The food was very good and by being on the meal plan we were served three meals daily in the restaurant, however we could also eat in the cafe should you choose to do so. The staff on the ship were extremely polite and caring while on board and went out of their way to make our adventure as pleasing as possible. I simply couldn’t endorse a cruise with anymore gusto! It met and exceeded our expectations at each and every turn.
