As momma said, there’d be days like this and for sure this was one of those days. At my put-in I rowed back upstream for about 100 foot to see if I could catch a big smallie that had evaded me on prior trips; as you will see … this time I was the victor. At nearly 19 inches it was the fish of the day … although there were a few others that were also in the ‘very nice’ range.
The highlight of the day came for me as I used my popper to land 7 nice smallmouths in succession. That is right …. one after the other. What an incredible pool and who knows how many fish may have been lurking nearby!
I hope you enjoy this awesome action and can find your way north at some point to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the north woods of Wisconsin. Remember to leave your questions and comments below and I will do my best to get back to you with an accurate answer.
