Golden Trout Lanyards

If you are like me and have a pretty eclectic set of hobbies (fly fishing) then buying a Christmas gift is tough for anyone and thus my wife has turned over the reigns to me and this year I found an awesome gift…for myself. I purchased a new lanyard from Golden Trout Lanyards out of California.

When you go there you will see that they have a large variety of lanyards to choose from and frankly I think I liked them all. You can see photos of the one I chose which was the Mammoth Lakes version (I love blue). As I told the owner, Steve Brunelle, the lanyard might be too pretty to actually fish with. Truth is I can’t wait to get it all fixed up and get out on the stream with it.

If you haven’t ever fished with a lanyard then you are missing out on both a quick and easy way to have all you need for a day on the water. I use my lanyards on hot days and also when I am fishing from my float tube and don’t want a vest and all that goes with it. Either way for $31.95 you won’t find a better deal on a high quality piece of fishing equipment and you can also have Scott do add-ons for you or go and buy them yourself…as you can see that I have done in the photos.

Through the years I have become pretty specific about end nippers, hemostats, tippets, etc….and thus went to Feather Craft and purchased the “extras”. So…if you need a good Christmas gift for someone else…or for yourself…then head to Golden Trout Lanyards and you will be happy you did.
