The following video was shot at Midland Lake in the Hillenbrand FWA located just north of Linton, Indiana. The video shows you the basics of stripping a streamer as well as how to set the hook using a strip set.
I am fishing for bass and using a white bunny leech pattern tied with deer hair and weighted eyes that gives the fly a lot of movement. On this day I was casting close to the weed edge and jigging the streamer vertically then allowing it to sink naturally. The action was very good and I caught approximately 20 bass in an hour and a half.
If you aren’t stripping streamers…then you are missing one great feeling…as the tug on the other end is the drug!
