Today was a special day … a perfect weather Sunday and an opportunity to catch some quality smallmouth on my favorite river, the St. Croix. Our spring was long and cold and it took a while for the smallies to find their summer spots … but finally they have and what great action I had. During the afternoon float of about 4 miles I was able to land several pike along with about 10 nice smallmouth, three of which were 19 inches.
I recently posted an article/interview with Craig Roberts from the Wisconsin DNR that I think you will find interesting and quite useful should you consider coming north for some fly fishing action …. click here to give it a read. I hope you enjoy the article and find it both useful and interesting …. along with this video that gives you some real up close footage of the river and some of the fish it holds. If you have any questions you can make a comment at the section below or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. As always … I will do my best to reply in a helpful and expedient fashion.
