Hey folks, welcome back to another adventure and video on FlyFishingWithJeff.com. Today is an awesome adventure on one of the upper stretches of the amazing St Croix River. The weather is perfect and as usual, the scenery is hard to beat.
In today’s video I fly fish with my 7 weight streamer rod using a reversed tied baitfish pattern and have a lot of luck with the set up. I also have along my 7 weight topwater rig with floating line and a baitfish popper that I explain in some detail how to attract and hook up with these awesome smallmouth bass on the Upper St Croix.
I also share the rich history of the area dating back some 400 years to the time of the original tribes of Native Americans, the Dakota and Ojibwe tribes. What an incredible experience and to be traveling the same waters as many of the natives and their ancestors before them … along with the many fur traders and explorers that used the St Croix as a mode of transportation to get from the Atlantic Basin to the Gulf of Mexico.
If you have any questions or comments please place those below or email me at flyfishingwithjeff@gmail.com or by following me on my X page. I will do my best to get back to you quickly and with the best answer I can. Enjoy the video and remember to stop and take a look around while you are out there in God’s natural world!
