Greetings and welcome back to another video with FlyFishingWithJeff. In today’s adventure, I fly fish my way down a small river here within a few miles of our cabin here in NW Wisconsin searching for some ‘small river smallies’. The weather is supreme! Aside from an early spring dose of mosquitoes …. the day couldn’t be more perfect.
The smallmouth have not yet moved into their summer hiding places …. but I am sure the warmer weather will soon move them into more shallow waters. Today I found about a dozen bass in some deeper areas of the river. I am using one of my own ties …. a reversed tied bucktail that does an excellent job of imitating one of the many baitfish patterns we have here on the river.
