In this video I take a small/short trip down the St Croix River here in NW Wisconsin in search of my favorite game fish …. the smallmouth bass. The water is as low as I have ever seen it and for sure it requires some stealth in both approaching and casting to these fish.
The scenery along the way is second to none and yes, there are times I pinch myself to actually believe I get to live here and fish this river any time I wish to!
I think you will find the water as clear as any video I have ever shot and thus … the casting and approaching of various holes is very important. Stealth in situations like this is utmost and at times the fish you bump will leave you scratching your head.
Remember that if you have any questions you can reach me by leaving a comment below or by emailing me at flyfishingwithjeff@gmail.com. I will do my best to get back to you in a timely fashion with an honest answer. Not much of the summer season left … so get out and get going….
