Fly Fishing the Amazing St. Croix

I am finally up in the northland and all is well. I have heard from several of you wondering what was going on and truth is I have been very busy …. turkey hunted for about 3 weeks both in Indiana and here in Wisconsin and enjoyed every minute of that adventure. Now I am raring to go and have already been down the Totagatic, Namekagon and St. Croix Rivers for smallmouth.
St Croix River
In the video (below) you can follow along as I fish a one mile section of the upper St. Croix River. It is wild and beautiful and the fish were eager to eat one of my own hand-tied streamers (more on this new fly at a later date).

The wildlife and nature here on the St. Croix is nothing short of spectacular and matches the fishing in its magnitude. If you want to come north and fish with me then please give a look to a section on my Wisconsin Fishing Guide Service. The rates are reasonable and you will for sure love the adventure of catching big smallmouth, pike and even a musky … on a wild and natural river.

Match the Hatch for Streamers

Welcome back to another video with FlyFishingWithJeff. You hear the term ‘match the hatch’ thrown around …. a lot. Mostly, it is used in dry fly fishing for trout and the many hatches of insects/bugs that come off each year. The match the hatch mindset can also be very effective when streamer fishing. In this […]

Product Review – The Knot Kneedle

Very seldom do I find a product that both makes sense and actually works like it is supposed to … The Knot Kneedle is just such a product. I was out in Missouri this past weekend and decided to fish the last hour of catch/release at Roaring River. I had already shot a video the […]

Fly Tying a Jig-Headed Trout Candy
