Another great Sunday afternoon spent on my float tube, fly rod in hand …. on a small lake near my home here in NW Wisconsin. To be honest, I didn’t know if there was a population of fish or not … but quickly found out as a nice bass hit my streamer on the first cast and the rest as they say …. is history.
Float tubes and fly fishing just go hand in hand … and when you throw in small water that is difficult to access with a bigger boat or even a kayak/canoe … then the possibilities are endless!
I certainly love the fact that I was able to get close and use my 3 weight rod with floating line to find the bass. To find them on a day when they are actively and eagerly eating streamers is an added bonus.
