Picking Up Our New Volvo at World of Volvo in Sweden

Hey folks … welcome back to another video with fly fishing with Jeff and today I will take you on a Swedish road trip along with me and my wife Vickie. We ordered a new Volvo back in January and through their Overseas Delivery Program traveled to Sweden to the World of Volvo to pick it up!

The OSD program is nothing short of amazing! Volvo will fly you and one other round trip to Gothenburg, Sweden … put you up in a hotel for two nights, provide a meal and transportation to your hotel and World of Volvo … then pay for your registration and insurance for up to a month … and all on Volvo!

It might just sound too good to be true, but it isn’t! I promise as I am a skeptical person and this trip, while very long (it took us about 22 hours travel time to get to Sweden) was well worth the effort and long lines.

Once in Sweden we had our car reveal and then hopped in and took off for …. well as they say, parts unknown. In our case we spent a night in Jonkoping, then one night in Stockholm, two more nights back in Jonkoping and our last night was just NW of Gothenburg on the far west edges of the Gothenburg archipelago.

All told we were in Sweden for 7 days and frankly loved every bit of it. The driving was easy; I did about 1000 miles during the trip and the people were all very nice, polite and gracious to us. I can honestly say that at no time did we feel unsafe or have any worries.

So, if a new vehicle is in your future and you, like me … want the safest vehicle out there … then please consider Volvo and their OSD program. I have a feeling that we will be back again at some point in our lives.
