Fly Fishing with Guide Elliot Jacobson of Jacobson Outdoors

Greetings and welcome to another fly fishing adventure on one of the great rivers here in NW Wisconsin. Today I introduce you to Elliot Jacobsen of Jacobsen Outdoors. Together we fly fish down a few miles of truly special water and catch several nice smallies along the way.

Elliot is truly a special young man … all of 26, he and wife Lauren have three boys all under the age of 3! Yes, that is a busy family for sure. They are both fantastic people and work at our church on Wednesday nights where they lead our youth group.
Guide, Elliot Jacobson
As you will see while watching the video … Elliot has one of the most versatile and durable boats made … the Flycraft-three man unit. I had been in one of these boats a few years ago but was rowing and didn’t have a chance to fly fish from the unit and I must say, it is very impressive for sure. It is very easy to cast from and the floor is simply sturdy, now way around it.

Elliot is guiding here on our local rivers and he knows them as well as anyone … period! As he tells you in the video, he is able to accommodate both fly-guys and conventional fisherman and knows both mediums very well. His pricing is superb at $250/half day and $350/whole day; I don’t think you will find a better deal up here, if so … I don’t know about it.

Lastly, when you come a long way you want to know that you will be treated fairly and respectfully … simply put, Elliot Jacobsen is one of the ‘good-guys’ and you will be very pleased with the adventure in all facets. So, what is holding you back from potentially landing that 20″ smallmouth or 40″ musky? Don’t wait any longer. Contact Elliot at JacobsonOutdoors.com and schedule a trip up to God’s Country here in gorgeous NW Wisconsin; you won’t be disappointed!

DR. SLICK To the Rescue

Dog Days Of Summer and Big Smallmouth Bass

I won’t say I am ever disappointed to land big smallmouth bass on the fly …. ever! However, I left home on this day with dreams and thoughts of a big musky, very big in fact. I have caught several musky over 40 inches in my fly fishing career and, in fact, landed my best […]
