Hey folks …. greetings from up north in Wisconsin. In today’s video, I travel a few miles down the St Croix River in search of big smallmouth bass; along the way the scenery and wildlife was spectacular … and, with the exception of a 20 minute deluge of rain, it was indeed a perfect day.
In this video I take a side channel that I had never taken before and find a true gem … a smallish part of the river that very much reminded me of the many days on one of the small Ozark trout streams … and yes, the smallmouth were there and in search of baitfish.
It is nothing short of amazing the wildlife one can encounter while alone on the river … in the peace and serenity of nature. I happen across a pair of trumpeter swans that do a fly over and give me quite the show.
