Greetings to another fly fishing adventure here with FlyFishingWithJeff.com. Today, the 4th of July, I am fly fishing while traveling down a small river near and dear to my heart and just a couple of miles from our cabin here in NW Wisconsin.
Along with me today on my trip is a young Christian man, Derek Thompson. Derek was following me on my channel for a while and as things happen, his parents have a cabin not far from us allowing him to fish with me a few times. He is a very sincere and interesting young man who is currently working for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) which is a great organization that I was a part of while teaching at my high school.
I would love to say that we killed it and caught a bunch of smallmouth …. but probably 15 or so along with a few pike, of which two of them ‘stole’ a couple of good flies of mine …. they will do that!
